Choosing a first school is a big decision. Here is a simple checklist you can use when you visit any play school in Jagatpura or elsewhere in Jaipur.
1. Visit the campus in person
Photos help, but walking through the classrooms tells you far more. Notice whether children look happy and whether the space is bright, clean and organised.
2. Ask about safety
Look for CCTV, a visitor register, verified staff, safe transport and a first-aid room. Ask who is allowed to collect your child.
3. Meet the teachers
Warm, patient teachers matter more than any equipment. Watch how they speak to children.
4. Understand the learning approach
Young children learn best through play, stories, music and movement. Be cautious of schools that push heavy writing too early.
5. Check class size
Smaller groups mean more attention. Ask the average number of children per teacher.
6. Ask how the school communicates
You should hear about your child’s progress regularly and be able to reach someone easily.
7. Think about the journey ahead
If the school continues beyond play school, your child can stay in one familiar environment. Bright Birds School, for example, runs from Playgroup to Class 8.
The best test is how your child feels when they visit. If they smile and explore, that is a very good sign.
